Responsible for assisting with the integration of program operations and information system requirements design. Assist with the evaluation and evolution of various programmatic applications that have been built for the Allegheny County Department of Human Services and serve as a liaison with DHS program and support office as well as with DHS provider agencies as applicable.

BHW provides therapeutic services to identified children in school, and to the identified children and their families in their homes and the community. BHW provides services that are based on social emotional and behaviorally informed clinical principles, including behavior management, clinical and crisis intervention, case management, and consultation/training to school staff and others involved in the children’s care.

Completes accurate and timely completion of written assessments of children and families and tools to assist with evaluation and the quality improvement of programsIdentifies and coordinates with formal/informal supports, community based resources, and concrete items to assist familiesOffers informal advocacy and emotional support to families and childrenEducates and reviews child development and parenting practices with caregivers to promote an increase in healthy parenting behaviors and attachmentProvide needed supports for mothers to adopt medical providers’ recommendations for a healthy pregnancy, delivery and newbornProvide non-directive support that helps them to make decisions throughout the pregnancy that are the best for their circumstances including pregnancy, abortion and adoption considerationsProvide educational support to mothers during and after pregnancy including psycho-social support during post-partum and attachment periodAssist with the development of an informed birth plan which may include physical and emotional presence throughout delivery

Prepare agenda and make arrangements, such as coordinating catering for luncheons for committee, board, and other meetingsAttend meetings to record minutesCompile, transcribe, and distribute minutes of meetingsAnswer phone calls and direct calls to appropriate parties or take messagesPrepare invoices, memos, reports, and logger documents using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software
