Within the UCI School of Education, I collaborated with undergraduate and Ph.D. students on the SEEJuSt (Science Education for an Equitable, Just, and Sustaining Future) Project. I collected and analyzed data for science and equity focused professional development curriculum.Our research addresses how students from historically minoritized communities experience science in classrooms where teachers and researchers co-develop and implement curriculum designed to promote equity. We hope to transform science teaching and learning through long-term community-engaged partnerships where researchers and educators work together to address unequal opportunities to learn at school.

I assist high school students with the college application, FAFSA, and scholarship process. I conduct workshops and lessons that guide students through their preparation for college, such as completing their required credits, selecting schools, and accurately completing their FAFSA and college applications. I also assist the counseling department with various college preparatory related tasks.

I taught biology lessons to K-6 grade students in an after-school setting. Lessons included topics such as biotechnology, dinosaurs, the human body, etc. I assisted in administrative work such as collaboration with local schools, collection and distribution of paperwork, and team communication. I also managed the distribution of specimens for demonstrations and dissections.

I assisted students in the Special Education program at both an elementary school and an adult transitional school. At the elementary school, I led small group lessons focusing on ELA and math and conducted behavioral interventions with students. At the adult transitional school, I focused on assisting students with daily tasks and led career and technical education activities for exceptional students.

Within UCI's School of Social Ecology, I collaborated with graduate and postdoc students on research projects, specifically focused on child narratives and how they are applied and interpreted in a forensic setting. I also helped conduct data collection through interview sessions with children, translated qualitative data into quantitative data, and recruited participants from the UCI Child Studies Collaborative.

I coordinate 5-10 team members per shift, delegating tasks and assisting with food and beverage preparation. I also organize and track inventory, manage product quality and store maintenance, and facilitate communication with management and corporate office.

I assisted my assigned student with schoolwork, particularly focusing on ELA and math. I consistently communicated with the student, their parent, and their primary teacher to best support their learning. The work that the company and I focused on is helping bridge the gap in educational inequity during COVID-19 by pairing tutors with disadvantaged students in LAUSD.
