The TM-AWS is expected to fulfil the duties of Course Director for the 12-week Air Defence Simulator Pilot (ADSIMPLT) Course, including instructional responsibilities, student assessment, counselling and administration.The TM-AWS oversees all ADSIMPLT training, ensuring it is conducted efficiently, effectively and to the standards outlined in the Manual of Air Force Education and Training. The TM-AWS is responsible for ongoing courseware development and review actions as part of the Training Improvement process.In addition to their ongoing training role, the TM-AWS is expected to remain proficient in Simulator Pilot duties to support the Unit's training goals, which requires detailed and ongoing familiarity with the latest developments in both friendly and adversary platforms, weapons, tactics and systems.The TM-AWS also performs some Section Administration functions, including Finance, the organisation of Staff Continuation Training, and the management of Section personnel.Finally, the TM-AWS is expected to act as the Senior Training Manager (CPO-equivalent) and Simulator Manager in their absence.
