I am a passionate and dedicated project manager in the events industry with over twelve years of corporate, non-profit and association experience. Currently, as a Sr. Director of Experience with Opus Agency, I lead a team of over 30 incredible project managers as we partner with one of the world’s largest brands in the creation of their in-person and digital experiences. In this role, I advocate within the agency for the needs of my team and our client. I directly manage staffing (to include new-hire forecasting), account-specific training and mentoring to ensure success for our team and our events in addition to leading project teams and managing events on behalf of our clients. In my role as a senior leader, I also contribute to several agency-wide initiatives with primary focus on productivity, business operations and improving collaboration on our project teams.I am continually motivated by challenge and thrive on problem solving. A recent personality/work-style assessment stated that I am “motivated by an internal desire to do the right thing in the right way,” regardless of how easy or difficult that might be. I think it’s important to continually seek out fresh perspective and new ideas on a project. I develop strategy and process with the future in mind vs. having a sole-reliance on legacy or “the way things have always been done.”As a leader, I enjoy using my ability to hone in on the root of complicated or complex situations to help my teams work effectively. My love for “connecting the dots” in interest of the bigger picture keeps my teams focused on the objectives of the given project. I am critically perceptive with an eye for detail and technically minded; I like diving into the “hows” and “whys” behind a system or process to better understand and potentially improve existing processes and tools. As a methodical thinker, I often develop process out of chaos to further help my teams function efficiently.
