My vision for Dallas Habitat for Humanity includes strengthening our advocacy platform to create systems level change that will impact the housing crisis, development of innovative solutions to scale the availability of affordable housing, and strategically bringing together public and private partnerships to break the cycle of poverty and transform our communities.

• Recognized community leader, convener and collaborator to create community change.• Secured $40M in COVID Relief Funds from the City of Dallas to develop the Dallas Rental Assistance Collaborative of 16 organizations and serve over 5,000 households.• Secured over $1M to launch Targeted Eviction Prevention Project in South Dallas to assist over 500 families remain in their homes, schools and achieve stability.• Launched North Texas Cares, a funders collaborative of 47 foundations and United Way across 16 counties. Created a common application that resulted in $58.7M in grants to over 1000 different nonprofits.• Created the United Way Coronavirus Response and Recovery Fund and grant process, resulted in $16M in donations to United Way, facilitated over $4M in grants to 314 organizations. Grants were awarded on a weekly basis to ensure quick distribution of emergency funds to support relief efforts.• Instrumental in the transformation of the homelessness rehousing system in Dallas and Collin Counties. As Board Secretary for Metro Dallas Homeless Alliance (MDHA), lead the development of a new Continuum of Care (CoC) Board, rebuilding and reconstituting a new MDHA Board of Directors, and Chairing the new CoC Board. Also served as Interim Co-CEO of MDHA during search for new CEO.• Provide leadership and direct management of all United Way’s Community Impact work, including multi-year grant cycle with an annual distribution of $10M and 18 targeted initiatives with an annual budget of $22M, ensuring strategic investments across Education, Income and Health in our region.• Lead the development of the new grant process with intentional focus on racial equity.• Leads United Way’s participation in the Better Together Funders collaborative to support nonprofits to explore formal, long-term collaborations to maximize community impact.

• Provide leadership and direct management of all United Way’s Community Impact work, including multi-year grant cycle with an annual distribution of $18M and 10 targeted Initiatives with an annual budget of $8M. • Responsible for the fiscal management of a $28M department budget. • Directly responsible for securing a new, multi-year sponsorship of $1,000,000 in support of Social Innovation Accelerator Program.

Oversight and Supervision of teams that are responsible for grants and programs ($26MM in allocations) that make measurable contributions to the North Texas community’s ten-year goals. Focus on making sure that all facets of community impact work are integrated so they achieve the greatest results possible through standardized operations.

Responsible for oversight and management of Community Impact (CI) funding processes (Grants, Stewardship, In Kind). Responsible for oversight and management of program development, training, technical support and assistance for current and potential CIG funded UW Service Providers, including internal and external requests.Accomplishments:Lead development of new multi-year funding model - new request for proposals, new monitoring process, new stewardship process.Selected to serve on Internal Culture Team, responsible for developing new organizational values and culture within the organization.

Responsible for developing annual Community Needs Assessment and supporting Stewardship, Outcomes, Grants Process, information requests and special reports. Develop and maintain working relationships with planning professionals in the area. Work with volunteer committees. Plan and implement strategy, structure, and timeline for needs assessment.Accomplishments:Conducted 3 Community Needs Assessments: Facilitated 5 volunteer committees, managed the work of 13 staff members, wrote several sections, compiled entire document, publicized and presented the findings to various entities. Worked closely with Brand Department to develop a 60 page summary, 3 county specific one-page handouts, and multiple audience specific power point presentations about the results. Created historical tracking of invested dollars, resulting outcomes and corresponding community needs. Develop solutions to key human service issues in Arlington by mobilizing volunteers, civic leaders, social service providers; create and manage community initiatives; gather and analyze data; conduct studies; prepare reports; convene diverse groups with minimum supervision.
