“Not all those who wander are lost” – J.R.R. Tolkien. Aside from the quote demonstrating my love for all things fantasy and nerdism, I am a firm believer that not all who wander are lost, myself included. As can be seen from my varied interests and work experiences, I have been wandering for a while, but I have been passionate about every path I have taken so far in my short life. Each path has come with untapped experience and learned skills that have only enhanced my ability to work in each new field, regardless of how unrelatable the two fields might seem to be in comparison. Currently:I am the Director of Marketing at a small travel company that has sister companies across the globe, though this company is the first branch in the U.S. Although, I was only recently promoted to Director of Marketing, I started with the small business March 2019, already branching out past my hired expectations and duties. November 2019 I used my skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and digital design to begin building their new website from the ground-up, and began to handle their traditional and digital marketing - including building their brand and collaborating with other sales’ professionals in the travel and hospitality industry, promotions, events, and campaigns. I also am responsible for their in-house bookkeeping. I am also a Board Member of the ASTA Arizona Chapter and a member of the ASTA Young Professionals Society as of January 2020.My colleagues describe me as highly individualistic and energetic with a trust in me that I will always get the job done with only the highest quality product produced. I am thorough in my market research and aptly understand that our clients are our priority overall. I enjoy collaborating with others, but often do best individually. In a few words, tenacity, problem solving, focus, compassion, and a thirst for knowledge are some of my best traits. - That last trait is probably the most all encompassing of who I am as a person. My thirst for knowledge is unquenchable (lookin’ at you SammyClassicSonicFan)- It also means I am very quick on the uptake and love to be challenged- I then run headfirst into problems with the knowledge I have acquired.
