Serve as the Co-Principal Investigator and Director for the Birth-to-Third Grade (B-3) Continuity Project.Working with the Governor’s Office of Early Childhood and Development (GOECD) and the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) to develop and implement supports for school districts. Providing oversight of Birth-to-Third Grade summer conference other professional development activities. Development of community and program tools including a Community Self-Assessment, Action Plan tool, Case Study Report, and other resources.

Contributed to community asset mapping, program cost analysis, community dashboards and collective impact projects. From 2016-2017 acted as the Illinois B-3 Co-Director providing consultation to strengthening community’s ability to develop aligned comprehensive systems from birth-through-third grade.

Played an active role in research focused on collective impact, social innovation and nonprofit sustainability. Responsibilities included literature review, data analyses, and the writing of manuscripts. Mixed methods research utilizing SPSS, Dedoose, Excel, & NodeXL. Served as a Teaching Assistant for two semesters for Leadership and Social Change (MSW) graduate course – received 2016 Excellent Teacher Recognition.

Illinois Early Childhood Action Partnership was designed to strengthen and support the capacity of early childhood networks across the state. I provided technical assistance to a community through strategic planning around vision, direction and partnerships.

I develop strategies that will achieve measurable and lasting change in community conditions, mobilize necessary resources and put them to work to produce positive results and improve lives. This is done through building healthy collaborations, coordinating the strategic distribution of funds and effectively measuring outcomes in the community.

Success By 6 is all about ensuring that children enter kindergarten ready to learn. I oversaw both community initiatives and focused programming to make sure that children in targeted communities received critical services for entering school ready. This also included managing key collaborative efforts and the development and implementation of community-wide data collection around school readiness in targeted communities.
