Undergraduate Research Assistant
CurrentThe Spanish Implementer Research Assistant is part of the Swaddling Ear to Ear program. It is a parent education program geared towards individuals with recently identified children who are D/deaf and Hard of Hearing. The program focuses on educating and counseling families about Connecticut’s Early Hearing Detection and Intervention program, Early Intervention Services, and advocacy skills to help their children's and families wants and needs to all forms of communication. The Spanish Implementer has undergone thorough education, training, and hands on experience to best prepare them to culturally and linguistically support families with children identified as D/deaf or Hard of hearing that also identify as Latinx as well as support the research process through learning in depth qualitative research method.
