As a state data researcher, I maintained up-to-date, state-level election and legislative data for all 50 states, including tracking election candidates and results, state legislature committee memberships, and ballot measure activity. This required formatting and cleaning data for multiple large databases, including Snowflake. Additionally, I did a variety of general research tasks such as qualitatively coding hundreds of organizations for accurate categorization of money in politics data.

As the first staff member of NYC-based political consulting firm Sosa Strategies, I was instrumental in creating and initiating operating procedures to ensure client services ran smoothly. As finance and operations manager, I handled everything from finances, contracts, and related client communications to onboarding and payroll.

I've served as Treasurer for multiple progressive political campaigns in NYC since 2020, including Sosa 2021 and Hailie for Queens. My primary task was campaign finance compliance through managing donor and expenditure databases, reconciling accounts, and filing financial reports. Additionally, I have created and managed budgets, invoicing, and payroll. Through my meticulous, organized work, I ensured campaigns meet Campaign Finance Board standards and remain eligible to receive matched public funds.

I focused on voice of customer and market insights on all things hiring and learning to support product marketing teams as they developed product roadmaps and marketing narratives.I was brought on the team to assist in the development and launch of a redesigned market insights platform (featured in a Gartner case study), which involved a variety of tasks like aiding in platform messaging and design, scripting and producing an instructional demo video, and presenting the platform to a variety of stakeholders, cross-functional partners, and leadership.To ensure marketing teams had easy access to the insights they need, I sourced data from across 15+ channels to feed into our market insights platform. When a new database solution was needed, I developed an Access database and migrated more than 14k data points over from MS Excel. Beyond sourcing existing data, I engaged in competitive research and analysis to inform stakeholders and guide strategy. To provide insights in priority areas like DEI and skills-first talent strategy, I regularly synthesized and analyzed qualitative voice of customer, field, and market data from across our 15+ channels.

Video Librarian is the leading video review resource for public and academic libraries.I authored film reviews aimed at helping librarians and educators develop their film collections.

I worked as a consultant on multiple projects for AWID. The first was a data entry and quality assurance project that involved migrating approximately 2,000 donor records from CiviCRM to Salesforce NPSP.In the second project, I created onboarding training videos for Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Calendar where I was responsible for every stage of the process: scripting, recording, and editing.

While earning my Master's degree, I volunteered over the summer at a UCL sign language linguistics lab and assisted with data coding and analysis for linguistic interviews on the Language Attitudes Project.

The Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program is a competitive employment opportunity that allows young professionals to live and work in cities, towns, and villages throughout Japan.I was placed in two senior high schools in Gunma, Japan as an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT). Through creative lesson plans that emphasized English speaking and listening activities, I helped students grow their confidence and English conversational skills.Working as an assistant teacher required strong collaboration and intercultural communication skills. I was paired with a variety of co-teachers and adapted my style to fit the needs of each teacher and classroom.

I earned my Associate degree from Germanna before transferring to Emory University, so I was happy for the opportunity to return as a tutor where I worked with students of all ages from a range of backgrounds. Over two years, I collaborated with hundreds of students in a variety of subjects to help them achieve their educational goals. Sometimes this took the form of 1:1 tutoring sessions, serving as an “in-class tutor” (teaching assistant) in developmental English and math classes, leading workshops, sitting on a panel, or running the Writing Center for walk-in essay assistance. My duties extended beyond tutoring. I was also tasked with training new tutors, assisting with front desk and administrative duties, and closing duties. Additionally, I was able to utilize my writing skills through authoring multiple educational guides published on Germanna’s website.

After graduation, I served as Data Coordinator on a juvenile probation project at a psychology lab at Georgetown University. I managed all data entry and maintenance in SPSS for both interview and survey data, ensuring accuracy and resolving data issues flagged by other research assistants. I also assisted with data collection through shadowing interviews and examining court records.
