Center for the Positive Development of Urban ChildrenThe English Language Learners (ELL) Cultural Competency Program is the only program in the State of NJ to offer training, resources, and coaching to educators on the subject of cultural competency and cultural learning to enhance teacher pedagogy & increase student success.Co-facilitated conversations around personal bias and cultural empowerment & immersion. Served as the tech lead for all virtual training and workshops.Assisted in writing funding reports and program publications consisting of data collection and analysis.Managed all data collection, and creates spreadsheets, graphs & charts for analysis.Provided copywriting and grant report writing assistance in creating funder reports, and program publications highlighting the program focus and success over 2-3 years. Publication is 70+ pages and distributed to over 300 people.Organized all invoices and bills, orders all office and program supplies, and manages communication between mentors, program participants, and interdepartmental needs.

Advocated and organized among faith communities in Marin County to create an immigration task force as a way to respond and stand in solidarity with the immigrant community amidst crisis. The Marin Network of Accompanying Congregations was created, and convenes 9-10 congregations that have assisted at least 5 individuals and families seeking asylum, or impacted by detainment and deportation.Administered the creation and programming for the Love Lives in Marin initiative, which focuses on creating inclusive and radical community by addressing social issues in Marin County, CA. Since its August 2017 launch, Love Lives in Marin has held over 9 events tackling issues of racism, religious discrimination, and community social ethics. Optimized office operations through processing financial transactions, leading migration to a cloud-based database enhancing supporter engagement, leading migration to a new website, and supply management.Enhanced communications by increasing social media engagement, initiating blogging, and altering newsletter production through new templates and content.

Successfully reorganized the office data management system to optimize the program’s capacity to serve its clients. Responsibilities included managing 10-12 caseloads, processing new residents, administering medical treatment and assistance, and connecting clients to local resources. Encouraged a healthy environment for change by co-facilitating a life skills group with clients that focused on navigating grief and trauma with healthy coping skills.
