As an Associate Scientist II for the Immunoassay division of BioReliance, my main focus is to test developing drugs for potency, safety and stability using cell-based assays and immunoassays. Under a GxP regulated environment, my expertise include Flow Cytometry, ELISAs and PCR.

In the Laboratory of Adjuvant and Antigen Research (USMHRP), my role as a Research Assistant II was to test potential HIV-1 vaccines for efficacy by way of immunoassays such as ELISAs and ELISpots. Not only did this role require data acquisition but also analysis using statistical programs such as Prism and Excel. These analyses were then used for publications and/or data presentations for scientific conferences all around the world. Moreover as a Research Assistant II, I worked closely with animal technicians with administering vaccines and performing bleeds for both mice and rabbits. Other tasks include: SOP revisions, ordering and restocking of inventory.
