Working with the WV Hive Executive Director and team, I support NRGRDA's entrepreneurship initiatives, primarily in relation to work on the Community and Business Resilience Initiative (CBRI), part of the ACT Now Coalition Build Back Better USEDA Regional Challenge.

I was part of a student research team working to collect relevant policy and management plans for a national Invasive Species project. (May 2021 - August 2021)I worked as part of the teaching team for the Honors and Urban Affairs & Planning SuperStudio. This course was piloted in Spring 2020, with students and instructors representing five different section topics (Data/Health, Education, Employment, Innovation, and Policy) exploring the Green New Deal through problem-based learning. I contributed to fine-tuning and updating course design for the Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 semesters. (January 2020-May 2021)

Shifting focus to support the entire Stewards Individual Placement Program, I continued to provide leadership alongside Directors in developing the Member Handbook, Supervisor/Partner documents, report and communication documentation, and other tools utilized to support 600+ member projects annually. Encouraged standard language use and practice across organization and platforms, assisted with technical and process transitions in use of CiviCore, Salesforce, and SharePoint with the goal of increased efficiency and system integration. This work allowed me to zero in on the systems and processes we were using to explore best practice, improvement, and additional operational needs. Initiated and implemented changes within Stewards Individual Placement Program and the broader Conservation Legacy network, often through collaborative efforts.

Led a team of four to deliver National Service programming under two major grants and a variety of federal and local partnerships (government and nonprofit). Provided grant management, facilitated reporting, and contributed to annual writing and review of Federal grant - prioritized the transition to two (from five) major member enrollment periods to provide more focused support to subaward projects and members. Facilitated the identification and development of subaward projects and their support through paperwork (application, Memorandum of Agreement, facility ADA checklist, etc.), ongoing communication, reporting processes, mediating member/supervisor conflicts, and project compliance. Lead planner for bi-annual member training event - advocated for standard agenda and clearly defined roles to increase efficiency and quality.Contributed leadership at an organizational level (Stewards Individual Placement Program, a program of Conservation Legacy) through a merger and two major restructures, additionally led alongside others to develop and implement baseline Individual Placement communication standards, define Individual Placement reporting data points, and re-organize SharePoint site to better utilize metadata.

As part of a dedicated team, I provided direct support to adults with intellectual disabilities in both residential and day programs as a direct support professional (DSP). I maintained positive relationships with 40+ individuals served through our programs. (June 2013-December 2014)From January 2012-March 2013 I was a DSP Instructor. I served as a case manager creating and implementing person-centered plans and compiling monthly and quarterly progress reports, in addition to direct care responsibilities. Created menus and other healthy living systems of assistance – promoted their use among individuals served. I left this position to pursue interests in the environmental field, but returned to work with the organization in a part-time position.

Working with other educators, I led hiking-based experiential education programs in the White Mountains. Together we brainstormed to create and individually implement thematic environmental lessons around subjects chosen by participating schools, with the goal of meeting A Mountain Classroom's trilateral educational framework: direct engagement in the natural world, improved environmental literacy, and community enhancement.

Working as part of a team providing home repair to low-income homeowners, I participated in assessing, planning and leading a variety of projects using carpentry, plumbing and electrical skills. I also engaged clients - listening to their stories and needs and educating them about basic home maintenance and repair techniques as I was able. Rotating work teams of two or three people allowed me to work alongside various volunteers and full-time staff, becoming accustomed to differing personalities and communication and work styles.

As a student scholar, I joined a multi-year vengeance and forgiveness peace research project. A peer and I studied examples of reciprocity in ancient and modern texts alongside faculty advisors and co-created weekly multimedia presentations for inter-disciplinary sessions to update our scholar community on the project.

I served as a weekend site supervisor, offering general counsel, interaction and structure to weekend days and providing transportation for shelter guests from churches (overnight shelter) to day center and back again.

I directed patrons toward library resources and explained procedures, checked materials in and out of the library's computer system, and shelved materials and scanned shelves to ensure shelving accuracy. Earned "Employee of the Month" award for initiating and creating signage to encourage double-sided printing within the library's computer lab.

We used a computer calling system and entered prospective student and call information into the connected database.Due to my real world social service experience and resulting maturity, I was given the task of prioritizing contact with transfer and non-traditional students.

Working as part of a nonprofit seeking to help individuals and families in crisis, I completed client intakes and directed clients to appropriate resources within the organization and the community. I shared primary responsibility for the daily operations of the organization's emergency food and clothing bank with one coworker. Within the organizations job resource center I assisted clients in compiling paperwork for identification and social security cards.I compiled the agency's first policy and instruction manual, which provided program overview and technical explanations for new staff and volunteers.
