Mr. Atef is responsible for managing Cedare's Endowment Fund, as well as performing other functions necessary to ensure continued soundness and stability of the centre's operations. He is also responsible for developing and executing major financial policies, procedures, analyses, and controls, to protect Cedare's assets and ensure consistency and compliance with current accepted accounting procedures and practices, in accordance with CEDARE's goals and objectives. Also responsible for submitting regulatory reports required to external auditor, Executive management, CEDARE board of trustees and project partners such as United Nation Development Program (UNDP), European Commission, World Bank and others. As the HR head, he is responsible for HR practices and objectives, which provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture - emphasizing empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior team. He oversees financial strategy, stewardship and governance and ensures leaders are provided with superior advice and support. His focus is on enhancing day-to-day productivity, maximizing cost efficiency and delivering outstanding returns. He is also able to execute financial strategies in support of business growth, dynamics and competitiveness. He plans to continue to do his part in leading CEDARE to higher levels of achievement in the region.
