Provided consultancy services by managing the international procurement of certain materials. This includes submitting samples to clients, obtaining their approval, placing orders and monitoring progress through to shipment.

In this role, I was responsible for spearheading all supply chain activities across 8 department, leading a combined team of 70 staff and managing an annual purchasing budget of $45million. My primary focus was to ensure that the right items were in the right place, at the right time, for the right price. I was tasked with controlling local and international procurement, overseeing customs clearance and managing transportation and distribution. This included sourcing new suppliers, negotiating prices and terms and awarding supply contracts. During this time I also managed key supply chain projects through their full lifecycle to achieve timely and cost effective delivery. I was accountable for the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of the entire business, including profit and loss. As well as managing business-critical projects, I also lead a team of 150 staff and controlled an annual budget of $3.7million. As Construction Manager, I supervised the work of Area Managers to ensure projects were progressing in line with expectations. Preparing, monitoring and updating construction programmes for presentation during client meetings was also part of my remit. To achieve project delivery within strict deadlines, I effectively estimated, allocated and monitored project manpower and equipment and also recruited additional staff for subcontracting.
