Growing up, I was always fascinated with the written word. In the 2nd grade, I read the Lord of the Rings and aced a comprehensive quiz on the material. In the 4th grade, I learned basic editing techniques such as grammar and sentence structure, and passed the Reading and Writing TAKS test with flying colors; having earned a noteworthy exemplary score on the essay and editing portion. My fascination later turned to passion, and through that passion I endeavored to learn and master all aspects of communication.After securing an Associates degree, my motivation to continue to qualify myself and find a career path led me to go back to school for a Bachelors in Business at UNT. My proficiencies in reading, writing, and editing led me to the TECH COMM program, where I have been able to use the organizational and detail-oriented skills I’ve gained as an Auditor to develop the skills necessary to turn my passion into a career within the Technical Communications field.
