Along with the other student managers, I assist in maintaining the steady flow of operations for the Virginia Tech baseball team. Roles and responsibilities:*Setting up the field before practices and games. This includes setting up a multitude of large machines used to pitch BP, shoot ground balls, and launch fly balls.*Clearing the field off once practice or warm-ups are complete.*Participating in team practices by feeding pitching machines for batters, collecting balls during BP, and assisting coaches during IO.*Working closely with the team’s catchers and assisting with their practices when separate from the rest of the team.*Washing the teams laundry after every practice, workout, and game.*Operating scoreboard and audio system for walk up songs during intrasquad games and scrimmages.*Running baseballs to the umpire and collecting foul balls during games.
