Talking with people on the daily about every aspect of a cancer diagnosis / Receiving, colorizing, and amplifying the good works of others through illustration. If you have questions in either realm, please reach out.After graduating from UT in Austin, TX, I spent 2009-2015 in patient services roles with the wonderful American Cancer Society's National Cancer Information Center (NCIC). I've talked with thousands of precious people about cancer, trained hundreds of sweet people to assist people with cancer, and then managed more than a dozen dear people helping people with cancer. Serving the public through the American Cancer Society's mission, via NCIC's incredible training and mentorship, has shaped my courage, my empathy, my health literacy, my recognition of inequity and injustice, my tolerance for distress and uncertainty, my lucidity during a crisis, and my devotion to humans. This work informs my positivity, patience, resiliency, and perspective on the brevity of life - in every way. I am overjoyed to be back as of June 2023, this time working remotely from our new old home in the Helderberg hills of Upstate New York. The office is half art studio (always).
