Jillian Ashton has built a career in delivering “firsts” for a wide range of organizations including the Indiana Canine Assistant Network, the Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce, the Community Health Network Foundation, and the American Heart Association. Previously serving as an ICAN volunteer and board member for 10 years, she transformed the organization from a founder-focused vision to a sustainable culture with a business focus, growing ICAN from a $350,000 budget to $1.6 million in less than 9 years and securing ICAN’s largest-ever gift of $1.5 million. Jillian is known as a thought leader throughout the industry, championing access for people living with disabilities with a focus on access to public spaces including airplanes, beaches, and ride-share vehicles.In previous roles including Director of Corporate Partnerships, Director of Development, and President of her own small business, Jillian consistently drove change through innovative community initiatives. She established the inaugural Go Red for Women (Women’s Legacy Luncheon) for the American Heart Foundation, which is still active today. Jillian jumpstarts growth throughout the Indianapolis metropolitan area, launching the Indy Chamber’s first-ever Leadership Exchange (LEX). She is an expert fundraiser, raising $1M in Community Health Network Foundation inaugural hospital capital campaign. Jillian is also a customer-focused leader, utilizing insights gained through delivering services to a 130,000-member association with affiliate chapters throughout the world. Throughout all of her roles, Jillian quickly cultivates trusted relationships with critical community members and stakeholders including board members, rebuilding ICAN’s board with the organization’s overall vision in mind.
