AgSri is involved in a very unique effort to build a business model around a revolutionary new plantation technology in Sugarcane (Sustainable Sugarcane Initiative), that helps improve yields, save water, reduce use of resources such as labour, fertilizers, pesticides etc. This is in effect a triple bottom line business as it delivers additional incomes to farmers, helps conserve environment through water saving and at the same time is a hard core business venture with clear profit motives. As head of AgSri's flagship project, I am involved in conceptualising and implementing the company's on ground business strategy, which involves new business acquisition, building key institutional partnerships, setting up and bringing to scale of multiple localised production units and ensuring an efficient delivery model.

Chetna Organic Agriculture Producer Company Ltd (COAPCL) is wholly farmer owned commodity trading company, that was formed with the intention of organizing diverse farmer groups producing organic cotton and food products into a formal business organization and through it lead a direct participation of farmers into international markets. COAPCL is registered as a producer company under part IX A of the Company's Act 1956 and constitutes membership of over 10,000 small and marginal farmers spread across Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Orissa. As the first CEO of Chetna, I was involved in conceptualising the very business model of the company, building systems and procedures to meet market requirements, develop long term business partnerships with an international client base spread across India, UK, Germany, France, Netherlands, Sweden, Japan and Norway.

Intellecap provides strategic advisory services to socially focused businesses that aim at delivering multiple bottom lines. At Intellecap I was involved with the Agri-business advisory practise and during my short span was project lead on three consulting assignments. One of them was Chetna where I was working on-site for 6 months as an Interim CEO and whom I eventually joined. The other two were - an organic produce retailer based out of Bangalore and one of India's largest NGO's who needed advisory for their Poultry Producer Company.

Aranca is a end to end provider of research services to its worldwide clients constituting of invetsment banks, management consulting firms, corporate houses, hedge funds and independent research providers. Aranca was my first job and I started work as a Research Associate with their institutional research practice. I have had five promotions in Aranca, eventually leaving as a Project Manager and one of the three leads of the Business Research practice, which incidentally started with me as the first analyst. At Aranca, I have been involved in managing delivery of customized research services to major global corporations in addition to having managed a dedicated research desk for one of the big 4 consulting firms as well as the strategy department of one of worlds largest media houses.
