The new opportunity was to telescope the disciplines of sound Portfolio Management up to divisional governance practices. The task is to manage the team responsible for the development, delivery and evaluation of HR's strategy, portfolio and planning frameworks;- to manage and implement WSIB's People Plan to ensure cross-cluster engagement in order to provide advice to support senior leadership decision making, and - to manage the planning and delivery of general governance, data integrity, knowledge management and content management of the division.My team helps ensure responsible management of HR divisional obligations including establishing evidence-based controls that provide clear accountability, transparency and sustainability. The team oversees many disciplines related to strategy, stewardship, and governance including our obligations toward Internal Controls over Financial Reporting, internal audit, enterprise compliance, enterprise risk management, strategic alignment of business planning activities among others.

This role has allowed me to be persuasive and successful in establishing an environment where strategic objectives shape the delivery of the HR initiatives portfolio.This opportunity started as an invitation to build a Project Management Centre of Expertise (HR PMO) to help achieve better quality, consistency and oversight of projects across the HR Division. Within our first cycle we had established core standards, methodologies and tools that set the foundation for growth. Within two short years our community had brought project management through three levels of maturity, fostering an environment where the need for project management, its processes and the identification of project work is now embraced by leadership and management. Development of a project gating framework, governance structure and SharePoint-based information management system allowed us to 1 - deliver consistent quality, 2- replicate that level of quality over all projects in the portfolio and 3 - allow the leadership team to confidently predict the quality of future work delivered by my team(s).

The organization required a strong lead to oversee a collection of projects and initiatives contributing to a common goal. The project team has identified 12 distinct streams of activity ranging in complexity from the development and execution of education / awareness programs through to a full and complete replacement of existing systems province-wide.The responsibilities of program manager will require me to build-out and establish a multi-divisional steering committee in addition to development of all program-level governance including but not limited to development of Business Case and Charter documents to ensure rationale and alignment to stated goals are captured in addition to ensuring program- and project-specific scopes are expressed in clear and definite terms. While on assignment, I will be accountable for the full program lifecycle while also developing the project management skills of the business leads responsible for reporting on their individual streams of activity.

Over the next year RoofLogic will continue to implement my change management plan and revamped sales-cycle processes.Awarded "Best New Product" at the 2009 IRE based on marketing and demonstrative material I had produced for RoofLogic Mobile - the only electronic solution to earn top spot. Traveled North America attending and presenting at industry trade shows. Performed a complete sales-cycle and performance audit to present to the principle of the company resulting in implementation of a change management plan.
