Jesse-Ross Cohen has a broad-based practice with a particular focus on corporate/commercial, technology and environmental/energy litigation.Jesse represents large multi-national organizations, medium-size businesses as well as individuals. He advises on a variety of litigation and regulatory matters, including cases involving complex contract disputes, issues of statutory/regulatory interpretation, shareholder disputes, land use planning, environmental liability, construction and development disputes, employment disputes, insolvency and fraudulent conveyances, privacy and data protection, anti-trust and corporate governance issues. Jesse has appeared before the Ontario Court of Appeal, Federal Court of Appeal, Superior Court of Justice and Provincial Offences Court, including as lead counsel, as well as the Ontario Energy Board. He is also well-versed in arbitration and other forms of alternative dispute resolution, facilitating efficient results for his clients. Drawing on his varied experience, Jesse delivers practical advice that considers both legal and business needs.

Jesse is developing a reputation as a speaker at industry events, and most recently presented at the “Six-Minute Municipal Lawyer 2019”.Jesse volunteers with Pro Bono Ontario, providing summary legal advice to Ontarians in need. He coaches law student moot teams and has volunteered as an advocacy coach through the Law Society’s Law Practice Program.
