Worked in the Weld County area of the DJ Basin as a cement engineer. Spent time alternating between class and field/office work. While in class, I learned about well cementing physics, calculations, and the chemistry behind it as well as the operations of a cement job. Meanwhile, during field and office weeks, I was actively participating in lab testing and field operations such as helping run bulk and pump trucks and help with rig-up/rig down.

Worked for the school under the SNaP project. The SNaP project was a government funded experiment to determine whether possible natural sand proppants could be found in Montana. Samples were gathered in all regions of the state and sent to our lab for testing. Such testing included particle size and distribution, sphericity and roundness, and API crush testing. The results were then entered into a public database for display.
