Senior member of the Data Integration division of the Data Engineering team. Involved in designing and creating ETL flows using Python, Pandas, Prefect, Elasticsearch. I work in an Agile team in conjunction with product specialists and QA, customer support associates with multiple daily standup/scrum meetings, retro and grooming sessions.My responsibilities include:♦ Creating generic, reusable ETL plugins using Python, Pandas and Prefect to manipulate and ingest different types of input files in S3 into Elasticsearch -- text, audio files etc. Eventing is based on AWS Batch and SQS. Orchestration is based on Prefect. CI/CD is based on CircleCI.♦ Creating Prefect flows to ingest data into a data lake. These flows are based on an event-based system that used Kafka. I was involved in designing the prefect flows and tasks.♦ Maintaining an SDK which added additional features on top of Prefect. ♦ Writing Elasticsearch queries where required to lookup data in Elasticsearch, insert/update data.♦ Migration and maintenance of legacy code (often based on AWS Lambda), bug fixes etc. Supporting code in production♦ Writing unit and integration tests, doing peer reviews. Conducting peer review sessions within the team♦ Mentoring and guiding team-members to perform various tasks. ♦ Regularly interviewing candidates for Python data engineer roles.♦ Created assignment and general interview questions which were used by all interviewers at the company.

Delivered comprehensive research support to the Databases and Info. Systems department in the areas of data analysis, systems development, writing/editing, and other computer science-related assignments.
