Evaluated control strategies for the Rimac All-Wheel Torque Vectoring system for compliance with ESP regulations. Work involved testing controllers built on Matlab/Simulink through cosimulation with IPG CarMaker. Tests were automated using scripts written in TCL.Developed 2-RC Equivalent Circuit model of Lithium-ion battery for State of Charge estimation. Model was built in Simulink and parameters were optimized using the Matlab Parameter Estimation tool.

Worked with the Energy Systems team to design a cooling system for prismatic LiFePo4 cells. A thermal model of the cells was developed and used to design cooling pads. Flow path of coolant was optimized on ANSYS Fluent to ensure uniform cooling and minimum pressure drop. Design was validated experimentally.

Worked on Fuel Sprays Characterization under Prof. R V Ravikrishna in the Combustion & Spray Lab. Work involved designing an experiment to image fuel sprays using a high speed camera and processing the captured images on Matlab to determine rate of spray tip penetration. This work was used to select fuel injectors for Port Fuel Injection in petrol engines.
