Being the Chief Lead of the Group, I lead various groups within the Special Asset Management function so that they utilize their potential to the max and ensure optimal performance. Further TORs of the Group are:-Reduction in Non-Performing loans, while being compliant to all internal and external policies and procedures;- Effective handling of legal cases and negotiations for rescheduling & out of court settlements;- Maintaining close liaison with internal and external stakeholders for effective management of matters;- Mentoring, motivating and guiding teams to develop and harness their skills sets smooth execution of job responsibilities;- Effectively & efficiently maintaining & monitoring Internal Control on Financial Reporting within the Group while ensuring all procedures are documented & approved, process flow documentation is developed/ updated on timely basis

While doing so, reached new heights of success by posting highest deposit numbers.Key Responsibilities:-Leading & managing various functions amongst the Group to ensure optimal performance viz a viz business targets as well as adherence to prevailing internal and external policies and guidelines, in accordance with the Charter of the Group;-Devising effective strategies to implement business plans and effective coordination with field teams in achieving the overall Group’s goals and objectives;-Sharing of ideas and brainstorming on various initiatives, being an active member of several Strategic-level committees; -Mentoring and guiding all staff members to uplift their skill sets and learning abilities;-Representing the Bank at various meetings, seminars & forums from time to time.

Leading and mentoring various functions working under the Group for optimal performance in light of the vision of the Bank and management’s strategy.

- Management of Home Remittances business, operations, transaction processing, inquiry handling, reconciliation, regulatory reporting and book-keeping operations. - Effective liaison with PRI, SBP, regulatory bodies and with all current and potential correspondents for enhancing business relations.- Effective liaison with internal groups/departments, ITG, Treasury, RMG, Compliance, Branch Banking, F.I. for the overall improvement business within the bank and all correspondent partners

-Responsible to plan, organize, manage and control the country-wide activities of commodities portfolio of Rs. 83 billion & resources in order to ensure optimal results. -Responsible to plan, organize, lead and monitor business development plans and programs in order to meet targeted results. - Effective monitoring of budget allocations, expenditures and related financial activities for the purpose of ensuring that allocations are accurate, revenues are recorded and expenses are within budgeted limits.-Coordination within different departments of the bank as well as external stakeholders for smooth functioning of the Group

-Responsible for management of financing to Pak Steel, KESC, WAPDA, PMTF, TCP, MINFAL and all Provisional Food Departments;-Handling of diversified Govt. guaranteed domestic and overseas Public Sector Investments;-Ensuring proper implementation of Credit Policy manual and internal/external policies & regulations with regards to Public Sector Advances and Investment;-As a member of the team, successfully negotiated issuance of GOP guaranteed bonds worth Rs. 33 billion plus US$ 26 million on behalf of Bank against their Public Sector Non Performing Loans; -Member of the Focus Group responsible to handle settlement cases of NPL of Rs. 100 million and above of PHQ, Sindh.
