It is my mission in life to serve, inspire, and empower others in reaching their potential. I have spent the last 9 years using college basketball as a platform to achieve this. The game of basketball has always been part of my life, and growing up in Kentucky, college basketball was stamped all over the culture. The game of basketball and the business of college athletics have served as great incubators for life skills. Just like a student-athlete "reps" their jumpshot, I've had thousands of "reps" refining these skills:-People Management - Delegating responsibilities, setting standards, evaluating, providing feedback-Communication - both internal (ensuring an entire program was on the same page) and external (serving as a liaison between our program and campus & the community)-Logistics - Handling short-term and long-term schedules for each member of our program, coordinating team travel-Recruiting - Identifying and evaluation talent, recruiting that talent, working through on-boarding and shifting focus to retention and development-Budgets - Managing multi-million dollar operations budgets, as well as fundraising and program advancement - sharing our vision with others and creating buy-in -Teamwork - Every decision impacts a team. I've witnessed the power of synergy on a daily basis for the past 9 years.
