Student Government Association Senator
Current- Senator At-Large (November 2021 - May 2022)- Class of 2025 Senator (September 2022 - Present)
Dining Committee Chair
As Chair of the Student Government Association’s Dining Committee, I have led many successful initiatives. The committee is responsible for bringing student's needs to the attention of the dining services. We work alongside Chartwells higher education to solve common dining problems and bring innovation to our dining halls. One of the successful initiatives is our All You Can Eat RamBox. Our problem was that there was no option to pay a flat rate and get as much food as you would like. As a compromise, we created the RamBox. This creates a line in our Smith Dining Hall that allows students to customize their entree, and they can pay a few dollars extra to get unlimited refills for an hour. This line has been a win for the students, as they enjoy their freedom to choose what they get to eat rather than having a singular, set option. The meal points transfer initiative was inspired by my peer at Quinnipiac University, a school that is also under Chartwells Dining. Before this initiative was successful, students would lose their unspent dining money. With this program, students are able to send a minimum of $50 dining dollars to their peers. Another successful initiative led by the dining committee was bringing back the full-service cafe in the Frank Sawyer Building. Students brought to our attention that removing the cafe had caused a significant inconvenience for students. We took the initiative to survey students and present the data to the dining services manager. This resulted in successfully bringing back the cafe.
