He received system training based on digital studio principles from the Sony headquarters office in London. From there, Assad went on to become the Programming Director and Producer for the first ever, 24-hour International Cultural Television satellite channel in North America. He went on to join the leading South Asian television network Ary Digital Broadcasting as their Senior Vice President of Programming for North America, where he produced and directed many TV shows, reality shows, talk shows, magazine shows, live events, successful telethons, and numerous TV commercials. His passion for film has led him to work in the film industry in India, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and presently the US. He has worked as a Producer, Executive Producer, Creative Director, Associate and Co-Director for Multi Vision Plus, Production House, Zee TV, Star Network, N’six Entertainment Ltd, and Tash Network Ltd., among others. He recently served as President of Dramatix Entertainment, a film and television production company based in New York, which financed several Indian based television and feature film productions.
