I am an Atmospheric Sciences PhD student at Howard University. My primary project is studying wave-like perturbations near the exosphere of Mars through modeling. These waves can be caused by wind shears, convection or topography, and are observed to heat up the thermosphere-exosphere layers potentially enhancing escape rates and impacting lower-upper atmosphere coupling. In other projects I employ informatics and machine learning techniques to design new ways to cluster exoplanets, and classify atmospheric aerosols. Past research includes analysis of infrared molecular emission of planet-forming regions in protoplanetary disks, ground-based exoplanet transit detection, and measuring stellar rotation rates with TESS.

My thesis focuses on a statistical analysis of infrared CO emission lines from a diverse sample of protoplanetary disks with known star and disk properties to study structure of inner disk molecular gas.

I worked with Dr. Stephanie Douglas on-site during the summer and remotely afterwards. My project involved analyzing TESS data to compare three different pixel selection methods for star sources. I measured the rotation rates of sun-like stars that are ~50 million years old. This research contributes to better understanding how stars change their angular momentum over time.
