Hello everyone! I am an emergency relief veterinarian working primarily in South Florida. My experience in the veterinary field dates back from 2009 as a veterinary assistant, and has extended into a veterinarian role since 2018. I graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, with a clinical rotation at Colorado State University. A lot of my passion revolves around communication and a positive, efficient work environment. My goal is to empower my team, whether it be the kennel technicians, licensed RVT's, or the boarded specialists I learn from, I believe a good culture in the hospital is a successful one. This also includes my working relationships with clients and the importance of compassion and education, particularly in such a stressful and emotional environment like the ER hospital.I had started the first veterinary public speaking club in 2015, called ROSS TALK. It recruited over 1000 members in its first year and attracted thousands of viewers on its YouTube channel. With a social platform, I extended my interests into podcasting, called the Drat Veterinary Podcast in 2020, now called Drat & Drake. My goal is to connect our veterinary world together by relating our similarities as regular human beings. This is the first step in exposing ourselves to our communities outside of veterinary medicine as a single unit, to help integrate vets into society. Stay tuned every week or so for a new episode!
