• Maintenance and technical support of databases used in the Operation, including planning and overseeing data collection, input, and verifications; production of standard and ad hoc reports.• Generate statistical reports based on the standard reporting formats and ad-hoc reports, charts, and tables as the management requires.• Provide training, as necessary, to UNHCR staff as well as staff members of implementing partners in relevant aspects of data management.• Coordinate with the GIS colleagues to ensure that data collection is compatible with GIS.• Archive and backup database systems; ensure the security of databases; perform database administrator functions.• Assist in developing new applications/databases needed by the UNHCR Offices/Units in the area of responsibilities to perform their tasks smoothly. • Ensure the clients' databases are up-to-date by identifying and keeping what is relevant and accurate in an accessible manner.• Provide support registration activities including ProGres technical support and on-site assistance.• Provide support voluntary repatriation activities including reconciliation of VolRep (Voluntary Repatriation) data from the country of asylum and encashment centers, verification of Voluntary Repatriation Forms (VRFs), and coordination with VolRep Centers (VRCs) on information issues.• Develop forms and tools for data collection and analysis.

• Support in developing and implementing the MEL plan for the MPDS project in line with SCI and USAID guidelines. • Track PMP indicators and update IPTT at the end of each year. • Devise a quality checking mechanism of information received from the partners and other sources to prevent any deviation and cross/ spot check the data flow both at primary and secondary sources to ensure reliability and accuracy of the processed information.• Engage in the process of developing appropriate tools/methodology to monitor, measure, and evaluate the effectiveness and impact of the different projects in the sector. • Identify and develop MEL findings sharing mechanism at the field level program management regularly. • Develop or update quality benchmarks for the project to monitor the quality of intervention.• Lead to development and set up accountability and feedback mechanisms for the project. • Coordinate with Sector MEL to strengthen the accountability, learning, and knowledge management mechanism of the MPDS project.• Work closely with Manager Engineering and Consortium MEL/GIS staff to plan GIS-based systems wherever information management and automation process is highly required for efficient program operation.• Analyse spatial data and visualize the situation/changes for monitoring and decision making. • Take initiatives to design appropriate databases that fulfill the information and analysis needs, especially as they relate to the determination of the program impact.• Set standards and procedures for data gathering from data sources, report automation, and disseminate them accordingly to program staff.
