An expert communications leader heading communications delivery across the entire remit of Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service (MFRS).Leader of a small, efficient team moving forward in a dynamic, fast-moving environment with a focus on agility, efficiency and integrity. Lead officer responsible for:• Reactive and proactive press and media liaison covering a wide remit from major operational incidents and emergencies to community and health campaigns• Advising Senior Officers and all staff regarding press and media strategy, reputational management• Developing and maintaining clearly defined communications strategy, branding and tone of voice • Developing and delivering innovative, targeted projects and campaigns supporting key objectives• Managing and developing the content of MFRS public facing website, working closely with colleagues and providers to support tendering process for new site • Managing relationships and tendering processes with design & print agencies and other suppliers to ensure effective and robust working relationships• Protecting brand and reputation through clear, robust guidance and confident and assertive staff engagement• Meaningful and engaging consultation with stakeholders, developing two-way communication ensuring legitimacy and genuine ‘fit for purpose’ value.• Supporting large and small scale events support of key objectives e.g. recruitment, community engagement • Development of social media profiles and campaigns, monitoring and analysis, analytics, identifying new opportunities and emerging technologiesgroups• Analysis of reach across all comms. channels and campaigns, social media and press monitoring• Development of large scale outdoor advertising and interior conference displays• Close partnership working with Merseyside Police, North West Ambulance Service, Environment Agency, Public Health England, Clinical Commissioning Groups, NHS Trusts, Universities, Schools, Firefighters Charity, voluntary and private sector
