About Athraa Awad
As a Research Associate, I applied my Molecular Biology skills and knowledge in biomedical research, cell biology, and biochemistry to support the development of innovative therapies for various diseases. In 2021 I worked with CircBio, a biotech company that was focused on developing innovative therapies for various medical conditions, which was later acquired by Orbital Therapeutics. I gained experience in plasmid manipulation techniques, mammalian cell culture, immunoassays, and RNA therapeutics. I also gained valuable experience as a Laboratory Technician at Freenome, a leading company in the field of early cancer detection, from October 2021 to April 2022. I graduated from California State University-East Bay with a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences and a minor in chemistry in December 2020. I am passionate about advancing the frontiers of science and medicine, and I am eager to learn new skills and technologies that can enhance my research capabilities and career prospects. I am a team player, problem solver, and lifelong learner, and I am looking for opportunities that can challenge me and allow me to positively impact the world.
