Dr Thanos Stavropoulos (he/him) is a Technology & Innovation Senior Manager at the Pfizer Center for Digital Innovation (CDI), part of the Open Innovation Team (OIT), responsible for collaborative innovation projects with the rich ecosystem in Greece, of universities, startups and research centers. He holds a BSc (2009), an MSc (2011) and a PhD in “Web Services in Ambient Intelligence Environments” (2015) from the Computer Science Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece (AUTH). In the last ten years, he has managed and implemented national and European research projects, particularly as a Postdoc Researcher at the Information Technologies Institute of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH-ITI) in the areas of the Internet of Things and e-Health (Dem@Care, MAMEM, ACTIVAGE, GATEKEEPER), the Semantic Web (PERICLES), Decentralized Clinical Trials, e-Prescription (PrescIT) and Smart Home pilots (RADAR-AD, Trials@Home), co-authoring more than 80 publications in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings in these topics. Parallel activities include managing his own yoga studio, as a Certified Yoga and AcroYoga Teacher.
