As the Director of Mobile Health, I mainly performed the ‘Product Owner’ role. I managed the web-based part of the Mobile Diabetes Management System. The .Net website allows customers to view their data online ‘real-time’ similar to online banking. The system is classified as a class one medical device and required many of the security and quality standards (ISO 13485) one might find in a banking website.I was responsible for managing the external agencies and overseeing a team of developers. My duties also included scoping, design and development of the system. I was an integral part of the marketing team and presented the system to investors and medical professionals all over the world. Digital White is a small agency, so there was an opportunity to get involved in all sorts of projects from large websites to Microsites and Mobile apps. My day-to-day activities soon evolved to project/account management, and I was responsible for most of Digital White’s valued clients. I also helped to improve the development process and helped to improve the management of the teams by implementing Agile.Digital White uses the .Net framework and a CMS called Sitefinity for the majority of their sites. As a Customer Experience Manager I was responsible for overseeing the development of all of the projects that were live at that time. In particular I was responsible for interviewing and managing the freelancers that were recruited for my projects.

Retail Answers is a .Net software house that specialises in customer facing intranets in the retail industry. I was responsible for the frontend development of the software and giving demonstrations to potential clients. Between 2003 and 2007 I worked on numerous projects on a freelance basis for local charities and businesses. The majority of my work was designing and building websites as well as print collateral.

After graduating from The Academy of Contemporary Music I was selected from 20,000 people to play bass guitar in a house band on a programme called The Saturday Show. I performed live on BBC1 for 3 hours every Saturday for nearly 2 years and released a single that got to number 33 in the charts. I also had the opportunity to play with some major artists including No Doubt, Britney Spears and many more. As a band we also performed on radio shows (such as Chris Moyles breakfast show) and played live gigs including Hyde Park.
