In this role I spend a significant amount of time delegating tasking and managing results. This was a significant learning experience as my previous positions only saw me directly managing opposed to managing managers. This role also placed me on a range of external committees where I had to regularly present the club’s view on specific issues. These ranged from educational committees to councils within the student guild. Lastly as the club president I was the final decision maker, often leaving me with the most difficult decisions within the club.

As the Social Vice-President for the UEC it was my responsibility to coordinate and manage all the club’s social events. This includes small monthly events as well as major annual and semesterly events that require significant prior planning. Preparation for these major events requires coordination with external companies, organisations, and venues, with some events additionally requiring application for Liquor Licensing.

As the webmaster I migrated our website away from Weebly to a shared hosting provider, giving the club greater freedom in how it uses its website.
