Project management of satellite systems development. Oversaw design, manufacture, test, launch, and operation of satellite systems. Responsible for system, mechanical and safety engineering, and delivery schedule. Held multiple roles throughout 3 earth observation satellite development projects.- Managed 30 people and provided successful launch operations, as satellite manager and rocket interface manager, during intense pre-launch final preparations - Managed key component development issues at international suppliers in the U.S. and Germany, travelled to supplier factories to troubleshoot for critical problems and maintain the satellite’s delivery schedule - Managed all safety related schedule and technical commitments as satellite safety engineering representative, completed development without safety issues- Demonstrated strong communication skills as primary satellite interface engineer with both Japanese government (end-user) and rocket provider

Research and development for thermal engineering projects. Performed thermal analysis and thermal tests for electronic/mechanical sub-components and complete satellite structure. Researched advanced thermal control devices and systems, including the development of a small sized mechanical pump. Coordinated group R&D activity schedule and R&D budget distribution of approx. 20 million JPY (200K US$) annually.- Performed thermal analysis and testing, to contribute to the success of satellite projects- Investigated and reviewed satellite thermal design as invited reviewer/ specialist - Trouble shot and found root cause, utilizing thermal analysis for several thermal design problems and spacecraft operation accidents- Successfully developed and patented unique, small-sized mechanical pump - Managed installment of a flammable, toxic and high pressure gas facility (approx. $700K)- Participated in a two-month aerospace career development summer program (2002) organized by the International Space University, in CA, U.S.A. as representative of Japanese aerospace agency, focused on international project management with multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams
