Working on Apache Kudu, an open-source distributed data storage engine that makes fast analytics on fast and changing data easy.Projects:- Design and implementation of data at reset encryption in Kudu.- Integrating Kudu with Apache Ranger as role-based access control (RBAC) provider.- Tool to migrate Apache Sentry policies to Ranger automatically on CDH (Cloudera Data Hub) to CDP (Cloudera Data Platform) upgrade.- Verification of Kudu's FIPS 140-2 compliance.- Managing multiple Apache Kudu releases.- Various smaller projects, like native table ownership, VARCHAR column type, improvements, fixes, etc.- Working across time zones with the US-based team (mostly West Coast).- Mentoring Budapest-based teammates.

Smaller projects included a multi-tenant blog engine in Symfony 2 and started learning natural language processing in Java before an other project got canceled. They were followed by a longer project where I was a software architect and helped out with project manager. The project followed the SCRUM methodology.Technology-wise the project consisted in a Symfony 2 website and a back end processing server written in Spring Framework. The two servers communicated through RabbitMQ and used MariaDB, Redis and MongoDB as data storage. I also designed and implemented the test and deploy systems for this project based on Jenkins and Capistrano respectively.I also worked as a part-time devops engineer and worked on the infrastructure along with the system administrator.

I was working on a CRM system and was a lead developer on a project for a courierservice company which consisted of a web application and a few other desktop and serversoftware. Both of these projects required me to design and implement complex solutions invarious languages and frameworks (mostly PHP, Symfony2, Java, C, Perl and Bash).
