As a member of Hungarian Testing Board I've been involved in the organization of the biggest testing conference in Hungary, the Hungarian Software Testing Forum. As Program Committe member I contributed with paper reviewes and selection of the presenters, plus other activities like inviting speakers, chairing sessions on the conference. In 2014 I attended HUSTEF as a presenter with topic "Tester's dilemma". In 2015 I was selected into the Program Committee, as well as in 2016. I've been an active member of HTB and HUSTEF since 2012.

Heading the Operations line in Application Framework of Maemo Software.• R&D Operations manager role in a unit of about 100 people developing the Application Framework (Widget library, Search Engine, Text Input Methods, Feedback Framework, Home screen, System UI, Settings, and many more) for Maemo/Meego-based mobile devices, such as Nokia 770, N800, N810 & N900. Direct reportees: 14 internal and 21 external engineers distributed all around the globe.• Managing operations by driving the strategy, resource, budgeting, outsourcing, reporting and operative planning activities. Achieved improvements in accuracy and efficiency that were recognized by higher management and used as a benchmark for peers.• Defined the development strategy, which has been taken into use by other units of Maemo/Meego, as well. This strategy describes the whole lifecycle of a development & testing process, i.e. requirements definition and implementation, testing, code review, static and dynamic code analysis, unit, functional and non-functional testing, release and integration, as well as error management.• Due to changes in development technology (GTK+->Qt) I needed to get the open source testing frameworks re-assessed to adjust the test automation strategy to the needs (Squish, QtUiTest, Robot Fwk, Selenium) and then chose the one I found as best for us. This framework has been taken into use by the whole organization (Maemo/Meego). I'm aware of many different types of test frameworks: keyword-based, screenshot-based (character recognition), object-based, assertion-based, data-driven, model-based, etc. I favor the object-based test frameworks.• Defined and deployed the continuous building and integration process. Tools used: Team City.• Defined the strategy for test automation using the above mentioned test framework. Technologies used: Qt, C++, Ruby and Cucumber, as well as C and Python (Pyunit).• Became a Nokia True Leader, learnt coaching (see the GAINS model)

Planning & Managing testing in Application Framework of Maemo Software.• Responsible for driving the testing activities inside Application Framework unit of Nokia Maemo Devices organization. Strategy, planning, reporting, resource management, metrics collection, subcontracting.• Got an insight into code analysis techniques and tools (Lint, Klocwork, Fortify, Valgrind, Coverity, etc), deployed some of these tools in our organization.• Defined and deployed tools for measuring the code coverage (statement coverage) (gcov, lcov).• Defined the strategy for test automation. Technology used: Dogtail (Gnome accessibility-based testing framework), C and Python (Pyunit).• Defined and deployed the continuous building and integration process. Tool used: Cruise Control.• Have been working together with open source development communities on developing open source components that are being used by our products (DBUS, GTK+, Gconf, GnomeVFS, Telepathy, Matchbox, Clutter, and many more).• Assessed many open source testing frameworks (Dogtail, XAutomation, LDTP, etc) and then chose and deployed the best that suited our needs (Dogtail). This framework has been taken into use by the whole organization (Maemo).• Project Manager for Nokia 700 project on unit level (responsibility over 80 people).• Have been the Maintenance Program Manager for Nokia 770 for 6 months on Organizational level (Maemo-level, i.e. leading several hundred people), a position where I was responsible for driving and bringing accountable decisions on the whole Maintenance Project for this device (feature definition, schedule). After the success of my work I was assigned to be the Maintenance Program Manager for N800, as well.
