About Aubrey Zalewski

As an editor, I am dedicated to quality writing in any form, at any stage. I currently work in scientific publishing, but my editorial experience spans a variety of genres and styles. I have worked with children’s books, literary publications, magazines, blogs, and university publications. The audiences for these have included children, general readers, and academics.I have pursued editing academically and studied it tirelessly. My training has covered all levels of editing, from proofreading to developmental editing. And I have professional experience at each level. I follow the Chicago Manual of Style religiously but know how (and when) to break the rules. My understanding of style and usage has aided me as I’ve created multiple in-house style guides and style sheets for specific publications. I know the why behind each of my editorial decisions and incorporate that knowledge into my work.In college I studied the masters of literature. And as valuable as their contributions to society were and still are, there is no literature more important or influential than what is being published today. I am committed to helping today’s voices be heard because they are the ones who change our world for tomorrow.
