BroderickHaight works with domestic non-profits and international development actors of all sizes to seize opportunities for addressing critical challenges around the world. I provide strategic counsel and tactical support for clients in philanthropy and public sectors. I develop systems and opportunities that drive social change by providing expertise in constituent engagement, research, operational and programmatic effectiveness, and business development. Recent portfolio of clients include a community of practice for financial and environmental activists, and a queer youth services provider.

This fund was established at the San Francisco Foundation in 2021 and supports arts and culture initiatives in San Francisco which elevate the works and experiences of historically-marginalized people. I’m proud to have driven this fund’s work, including:• Developing the multi-year giving strategy• Integrating trust-based, anti-racist, and community-centric philanthropy practices• Setting focus areas and creating a grantee alignment rubric• Creating all explicative background materials • Conducting grantee alignment and programming research; drive all grantee communications and stewardship• Leading engagement and peer learning endeavors with donors and program officers

Maker Ed trained educators in hands-on methods for social justice learning in classrooms across the country. My accomplishments included:• Mobilizing $2.5M in annual revenue • Supervising staff, consulting writers/researchers, creating and nurturing shared decision-making protocols for partnerships• Donor (individual and institutional) and partner stewardship• Managing and recruiting Board of Directors and development committee members• Overseeing organizational operations (finance, HR, governance)• Creating and growing school-and-community partnerships, including microgrants for teachers and community leaders• Driving programmatic design in workshops, learning ecosystems, and coalition-building• Capturing data and conducting impact evaluation

At Pie Ranch, they cultivate a healthy and just food system through food education, farmer pathways to success, and regional partnerships. Accomplishments are that I:• Generated $2M in annual revenue from institutional and individual contributions• Mobilized an additional revenue for a $15M, five-year capital and capacity-building campaign• Lead campaign strategy and managed cabinet of five volunteer members• Managed staff, campaign consultant, and consulting writer• Stewarded major donors and community-level donors• Co-developed program evaluation tools and implemented strategy with all staff• Produced annual fundraising event• Developed and stewarded cross-sector regional partnerships

Among other client work, I brought an arts and technology festival from New York City to the Bay Area for its California debut–and secured event venues, corporate partnerships, artist collaborations, and media placement. • Supported content development• Provided messaging and positioning expertise• Delivered organization and program assessment• Designed communication and campaign strategy• Conducted prospect research

As this regional agricultural coalition’s first employee and Executive Director, I’m humbled to have brought the first countywide, bilingual farmer and farmworker education program to Mendocino County, CA, with funding from the USDA’s Risk Management Agency. In my time, I’m proud to have:• Raised and managed budget for $1.1M organization• Managed one communications associate, one consulting grant writer, one events contractor• Directed and managed 11-person board of directors, including many first-time directors• Managed all strategy and implementation for community programming• Developed and stewarded cross-sector partnerships (state and local policy, regional philanthropy, various advocacy groups)• Administered scholarships for local high school-aged youth from farmworker families to attend community college pursuing studies in business and agriculture• Managed all county-wide public relations for agriculture and seasonal worker issue campaigns

Responsibilities included regular client interface, event coordination, as well as the strategic cultivation of relationships with journalists and industry analysts at global, high-circulation technology publications on behalf of Adobe Systems, Inc. and other major technology firms.• Organized international client events/conferences• Successfully launched various products over a variety of departments• Created and led course for agency-wide database training, improving database and reporting quality across a number of teams. Refashioned materials to serve client training purposes which were used internally to great success.
