Specific consulting assignments have included serving as proposal manager and contributing writer for a complex USDA-funded Food for Education program in Haiti, conducting an in-depth business development strategy and capture plan for strengthening tertiary education programming in Ethiopia, leading the concept design and proposal development process for an innovative program to build the capacity of USAID Missions and local partner institutions, contributing to the design and technical writing on a proposal for a USAID-funded global biodiversity conservation program, serving as lead technical writer and proposal manager for a DFID-funded agribusiness project in India, and serving as an expert reviewer/evaluator for a global competition launched by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation on the theme of the future of development assistance.

As Director of the Pact consortium for the SCAPES LWA, provided technical leadership and management of a USAID-funded global biodiversity conservation program. Site level activities focused on the conservation of the Ustyurt Plateau in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Assumed the directorship during the final year of this five-year program.

Served as Acting Country Director and Project Director for the Pact Colombia office. Provided leadership and management for the Somos Tesoro project, an innovative program funded by the US Department of Labor to reduce child labor in the gold and coal mining sectors in Colombia.

Provided technical leadership in establishing, driving and integrating Pact’s environment and NRM strategy globally, with a focus on community-based natural resource management, biodiversity conservation and climate change adaptation and mitigation. Led and developed a network of staff in Africa and Asia providing technical assistance and quality oversight to programs comprising Pact’s Environment portfolio. Led and facilitated change to ensure that Pact evolved and adapted its technical capabilities in step with the evolving development trends and the priority needs of countries where Pact is operational. Worked across the organization, field offices and programs, to establish new programmatic synergies, develop products and tools, and drive high quality programming and results. Represented the organization in relevant forums and led a global community of practice to advance Pact’s position in the Environment and NRM sector. Provided technical quality control and contributed to the technical design of proposals and new projects. Led the development of Pact’s first Environmental Policy.
