Kilic Engineering is a diverse mechanical engineering company based in Adelaide, South Australia selling products around Australia and across the globe. Owned and operated by the Kilic family since 1973, the company has a long and proud history of excellence in designing, manufacturing and installing a very wide range of conveyors, material handling systems, chute work and associated structural elements.

In a new assignment with Kilic Engineering I play a key leadership role in underpinning growth through new products, procurement systems and project management.

The team at Kilic engaged me to assist with product strategy in the agricultural sector as we reviewed domestic and overseas markets for grain handling equipment. In parallel we are re-designing the order to manufacture process leveraging my deep systems knowledge, change management abilities and practical implementation experience.

I took responsibility for the general management of four laboratory production facilities and field operations for the SGS shipping business. Under a mandate to grow the smaller SGS businesses in the Australian portfolio, I lead a corporate acquisition program that resulted in SGS purchasing TACS, Wamtech, MMI, the GHD concrete testing operation, Simmonds and Bristow and Western Geotechnics. - Preparation of investment business cases then negotiation of approval. - Due diligence, sale and purchase agreements. - Acquisition integration. - Post acquisition review, financial reporting and continuous improvement.

This role consolidated my knowledge of financial systems and products and grew into a role with global responsibility for Westpac's risk reporting. I managed a diverse team, contributed to the profitability of the Institutional Bank, worked with the Australian Prudential Regulatory Authority as required and was accountable for the preparation of mark to market profit accounts on a daily basis.

While in the United Kingdom I worked for JP Morgan in a management accounting role and for Royal Bank of Scotland as a treasury accountant.

In my time with the tax division of Ernst and Young I completed my professional year to become a Chartered Accountant and progressed to the Senior Accountant level.
