With the direction of senior scientist, executes chemical reactions on gram to kilogram scale. Executes experimental plans and interpret analytical data. Isolation and purification of products and intermediates using standard laboratory techniques. Perform analytical procedures to monitor reaction progress, including HPLC, TLC, NMR, GC, KF, and HPLC weight assay analysis and qNMR. Prepare clear documentation in the form of updates and reports, both verbal and written. Act as a technical contact for the transfer of projects to production. Comply with cGMP.

At Amway I conducted a microbial method verification study to confirm method suitability for seven standard FDA and USP test methods to ultimately ensure safe and quality nutritional products. I collaborated with team of scientists and technicians, from Analytical Sciences and Quality departments. I learned many microbial laboratory techniques, including aseptic technique, bacterial culturing, staining and identification, biochemical testing, and microbiological principles and methods. I followed SOP's for a variety of compendia USP and FDA microbiological test methods.I reported project progress on a weekly basis and gave a final presentation of analysis and results to co-workers and management.
