As a Senior Software Engineer at Going, I work on building and maintaining infrastructure and services that power the company's innovative solutions for online travel booking and discovery. I leverage my skills in backend development (Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL) to deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable software that meets the needs and expectations of our millions of members.I have a strong passion for human-centered technology and how it can enable and empower people to explore new places, cultures, and experiences. This passion motivated me to pursue a Master's degree in Information Technology and two Graduate Certificates in Healthcare Information Technology and Computer Software Engineering from Virginia Tech, where I graduated in December 2021. I also have a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Pittsburgh, where I graduated with dual honors degrees in 2017.Prior to joining Going, I was the Team Lead of Integrations at Mend, a leading platform for integrated patient engagement and telehealth. There, I led the Integrations team that built scalable integrations with the top EHRs in telemedicine, especially for behavioral health practices, and enabled workflow automations for improved patient care and satisfaction. I also have experience working as a Software Engineer for tennis management software, as well playing on Tour as a former professional and intercollegiate tennis player and coach. I enjoy combining my technical skills and interests to create innovative and impactful technology solutions.
