Pioneered curriculum to teach MestreNova software in Synthesis and Structural Analysis course.

In the lab of Dr. Kevin Shea, I am investigating the Diels-Alder reaction with the goal of developing new dienes with a cobalt complexed alkyne. Mentoring two students in the lab with an emphasis on teaching experiment design and independence. Improved lab efficiency by leading workshops on Biotage and MestreNova technologies for usage by all lab members.

Intern in the Discovery Chemistry department working on developing stable and homogenous antibody drug conjugates.

Researched cyclopropenium derivatives to be used in redox flow batteries in the lab of Dr. Melanie Sanford as a part of the NSF Research Experience for Undergraduate (REU) program at the University of Michigan. Cultivated scientific communication skills through a variety of written and oral presentations, including presenting at the URAN|UM symposium at the University of Michigan.

In the lab of Dr. Bosiljka Glumac, I developed data collection system to identify and classify corals found in Bahamian core sample. Noted patterns in species, bioturbation, and encrustation on fossilized corals to compile a dataset for further analysis.

Assisted in constructing and initiating field experiment to test effectiveness of coral outplanting strategies. Designed and implemented data collection guidelines to be used in monitoring all active coral nurseries. Cataloged coral nursery data in a database to be modeled for all other conservation sites in the South Pacific. Assisted in day to day conservation projects such as coral gardening, predator removal, community engagement, and experiment design.

Prepared customer data for client meetings by collecting documents from customers and organizing financial data. Increased efficiency in the office by developing Excel templates to automate tax projection calculations to client’s specifications. Designed a customer interface to be used to share these projections with clients.
