Audrey Grimm is Sequoia’s Chief Executive Officer. Audrey believes there is always a better way of doing things and you can gain valuable insights from the person next to you. Because of this she brings tremendous value to the patient care team at Sequoia and is always learning from those around her.The mark Audrey wants to leave on the healthcare industry is that it should be a place for comfort and human kindness. She is focused on effecting change in the way patients are treated by creating a more positive healthcare experience at Sequoia.Audrey has an eclectic background, starting off her career as a teacher, then pursuing an accounting degree as well as a criminal justice degree. She then went on to receive her CNA, LPN and finally graduated with honors from Florida State with an RN degree.Since 2013 she has worked in various inpatient psychiatric healthcare facilities and detox programs spanning from Kirkland, WA to Jacksonville, FL. Audrey worked with Dr. Knutson in 2013 at Fairfax Hospital as a nurse and realized they shared the same compassion for their patients and their desire to remove the stigma that comes with substance abuse. This shared passion later prompted her to join Sequoia Detox Centers in Spokane Valley to pursue a role as their Chief Nursing Officer.“During my LPN training a teacher taught me that compliance and compassion lead to competence, which will expand my confidence. From there, my true character develops, this has always stuck with me. I always want to remember who I am and the reason I became a nurse. This helps me set a positive example of what compassionate patient care should look like for my medical team.”
