Hi and welcome to my LinkedIn Page,I started my working career as a Bank Teller although my interest was to work in an office environment as an Accountant.I attended Business College and soon after I completed, I was hired for an Accounts Receivable position at a major Hotel chain. I enjoyed the work and when I had extra time, I assisted with Reservations & Corporate Planning. I found the interaction with people became my passion.Four years later, my girlfriend informed me there was a one-girl office position open at Linotype Canada to handle in-coming orders for Graphic Arts Products; Shipping/Receiving; Account Receivables; Payables; Contract Agreements and so one. Although I didn't know it at the time, but it was the beginning of my 38 year career in the Graphic Arts Industry and still going....! A year after accepting the position at Linotype I received a promotion and became a prepress graphic arts instructor. I traveled Canada and Northern U.S. States going into Printing Companies to teach the Art Department staff how to use the software & hardware. This journey also introduced me to reading/writing binary as part of my instruction package.While that was fun, the travel was extensive which lead me to a career change. I wanted to be more hands-on the equipment so I joined Cal/Oka Printing to work as a designer & prepress operator. But... I missed the interaction with the outside world.In 1994, I joined Apache Superior Printing in Sales and Marketing for 22 years specializing in Commercial Print; Digital and Mail Services. In September 2015, I joined Style-Craft Printing carrying the same position as Apache had expired. My days are never repetitive, I get to work with my clients on design ideas; assist in marketing plans; determine the most effective and efficient mailing options for their needs. And when needed, assist production staff to create & manufacture a product that my client is excited to receive and proudly sharing it with their clients. It's a Win - Win situation!!
