I meet with students and their families weekly to ensure identified needs are met within and beyond the education system. I organize and implement events and programming specific to the unique needs and desires of the students. The research focuses on the documentation of the organizational life of immigrants in southeast Michigan and their functions and socio-spatial relations, using community-based participatory approaches with data from surveys, interviews, visual ethnography and GIS mapping. As a research assistant, I code qualitative interviews and provide capacity building assistance to the researched organizations. I am the project lead for website design.

As a University Ambassador, I lead campus tours for prospective high school students and their families, as well as for other constituencies. I also help represent the university in other capacities, such as escorting dignitaries, and serving on student panels. Lastly, I assist with administrative work within Ohio State Undergraduate Admissions.

In this fellowship role, I analyzed weekly and monthly data provided by current CRIS volunteer mentors to ensure sustainability of program. I was the communication liaison and recruiter for CRIS and Ohio State University students. I facilitated events and programs for program and outside community. Lastly, I preformed weekly check-ins with all volunteer mentors to ensure needs were met.

I provided assistance on social media and marketing for the nonprofit organization, Mission 108, that fights human trafficking in the United States and India. I aided in planning and implementing fundraising events for organization. I gained valuable mentorship in working with survivors of human trafficking, the logistics of nonprofit organizations, and advocating for the injustice of gender violence
