My goal as the marketing and design intern for the Student Life of UW is to promote academic integrity. I work in the Community Standards & Student Conduct Office design promotional graphics and merch for events, and market these events through our social media, which I manage, as well as form connections with other UW organizations. My job involves a lot of designing, in which I use Adobe Illustrator for, but also talking to students and faculty in person to help make them more aware of the resources they can use on campus, such as CSSC, in order to fulfill their academic goals.

DFAUW (Design for America) is a UW club that brings design students together to work towards creating solutions to real world problems. The team I am a part of, Rocket Launchers, is currently working on designing a social media app for creative media students that want to connect with others alike and mentors, in order to further experience in their respective fields. Our main goal of our app is to help those who are trying to improve their design, art, photograohy, etc., portfolios by connecting them with others who want to pursue similar projects.We are currently working on the Low-Fi designs of this app.

As VSAUW (Vietnamese Student Association of UW)'s Graphic Design Chair, I am tasked with researching, illustrating, and marketing our group's events and meetings to create more awareness towards a UW RSO that centers around cultural activities. We volunteer, host public events, and aid in creating a comfortable space for the Vietnamese community in Seattle. My responsibilities include designing for an audience to draw them in, as well as researching our bigger Vietnamese community and creating innovative ways to help them interact more with what we have to offer, such as our biggest beauty pageant event of the year, Lunar New Year celebration, cultural meetings, and more. Through this job I have designed merchandise, instagram posts, and branding for several of our bigger scale projects. Additionally, as one of the officers on the team, I assist in leading and making our events happen.

Experience related to design:Illustrated and designed flyers and promotional posters to be placed throughout a college campus nearby, created a recipe book to be used in physical form. Lastly, I assisted in designing new menu screens.Directly served customers boba milk teas, coffee, and pastries, providing friendly and inviting service to everyone while offering suggestions. Carried responsibility as the main opener and closer of the cafe through prepping items in advance and completing all closing tasks, and trained new employees on recipes and managing the store.
